Questions, answered.

Can other people see my changes?

No. Your name, avatar, join date, badges and platform indicators change only inside your own Discord tab. Discord's servers and everyone else still see your real profile.

The one exception is the optional platform spoofer. It changes what Discord's servers see, so everyone sees the platform you pick. It's off by default.

Does it give me real Nitro or real badges?

No. It's purely visual. Nitro perks like bigger uploads or custom emoji anywhere stay tied to your real subscription, and the badges exist only on your screen.

Can I get banned for using it?

The client-side features never talk to Discord's servers, so there's nothing on Discord's side to detect. Running a client mod like this is still a modification Discord's Terms of Service don't allow.

The platform spoofer does change what Discord receives. It's a common trick, but treat it as at your own risk.

Does it touch my token or password?

No. The patch makes no network requests of its own and never reads your token. The platform spoofer rewrites only the device details in Discord's connect message and leaves the token as it is, and you can read the full source before you run it.

Where are my settings stored?

In Discord's local storage on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, and each Discord account you use gets its own profile. Hitting Reset in the editor removes it.

Why PNG only for the profile picture?

It keeps things simple and predictable. The script checks the file's real signature, crops it to a square like Discord does and shrinks it to 512 px so it fits in browser storage.

Does it work in the Discord desktop app or on mobile?

Yes — on desktop. The patcher works on the Discord desktop app for Windows and macOS, including Stable, PTB and Canary. It doesn't work on mobile.

Nothing shows up after installing. What now?

Open DevTools with Ctrl Shift I and the Console. If you see no ProfileSpoofer line at all, the patch isn't applied — run the patcher again and fully quit and reopen Discord (not just the window).

If you see a red "stuck" line, it tells you which step failed. Copy it and the diagnostics line under it when asking for help.

What happens when Discord updates?

The script finds Discord's internals by what they do rather than by names that change every build, so most updates don't affect it. If something breaks, the console message says where.

Is it open source?

The full source is the install file itself. Its platform indicators are adapted from Vencord's PlatformIndicators, so the script is licensed GPL-3.0-or-later.

Still curious?

The fastest way to find out is to try it. It's off again with one switch.
